Hunter held deathly still, heart pounding in his chest. He thought for a second that they may have seen the green lizard, but his blood ran cold as he realized after a moment that the white one was staring directly at him. As they walked past his hiding spot, the white one suddenly stopped, putting their hand on the yellow one's shoulder. He hadn't seen any other slugcats around ever since heading out on this journey, and he honestly hadn't expected see any. Two slugcats had just rounded the corner, a white one, and a smaller yellow one. He bunched up his back, narrowing his eyes as. He lunged out of the way, careful to not make a sound, and slid into a more discreet location from which he could stake out his fast approaching prey. The green lizard he was hunting didn't seem to have noticed, but he didn't need a potential additional threat or distraction while he tracked them, so he resolved to snuff out the source of the footsteps. Hunter's eye twitched, as the sounds of leaves crunching under footsteps came from behind him, their owner clearly having no regard whatsoever for stealth of any kind.
